ITA has identified the Flexible Learning Strategy as a way to increase access and reduce barriers to apprenticeship training and help boost completion rates and certifications for apprentices. Through innovative practices and delivery, apprentices and sponsors will be provided with an additional option to technical training beyond the traditional face to face delivery. As a BC training provider you are a key player to driving that change and helping E-PPRENTICE thrive as a successful and sustainable program. Whether you are part of a public post-secondary institution wanting to host an E-PPRENTICE technical training program, or a private, designated training provider, your professionalism and expertise ensures excellent training for the province's apprentices.

To develop E-PPRENTICE programs, proponents form partnerships with several other organizations providing, or associated with, trades training or e-learning development. These groups are called Partnership Organizations. A Partnership Organization is a grouping of training partners and e-learning or new media companies who are the winners of a specific Request for Proposal (RFP). This group will then work together to develop the E-PPRENTICE program. A further goal of the E-PPRENTICE initiative is to have the Partnership Organization for each E-PPRENTICE program become a centre of innovation and excellence in the development and delivery of specific E-PPRENTICE program options for the province.

Given that many of the trades programs proposed for E-PPRENTICE program options have large numbers of apprentices, and high impact in all industrial and commercial sectors of the province, Partnership Organizations should have broad regional and sectoral representation.

Partnership Organization expectations may vary depending on the trades program area. This will be detailed at the RFP stage of the process. For more information on Expressions of Interest and RFPs for E-PPRENTICE, click here: Expressions of Interest and RFPs.
